'Learning in the Age of Distraction' has now been published
It was with mixed emotions that my PhD was finally conferred with a somewhat anti-climactic email notifying me of the good news:
"I am pleased to advise that the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) has approved your admission to the Doctor of Philosophy in Absentia as at the10th June, 2020."
While there'll be no graduation ceremony in COVID times, the email marked the satisfying end of 12 years of full time study across a range of courses and institutions.
